Rice University's Undergraduate Literary Magazine

[ About Us ]

R2: The Rice Review is the award-winning literary journal of Rice University. We publish the best poetry, prose, and art produced by Rice undergraduate students, as well as interviews with renowned authors. We also hope to foster a creative writing environment at Rice by hosting on-campus literary events like Open-Mic Night and off-campus outings to see visiting authors in Houston. The journal was founded in 2004 by creative writing professor and author Justin Cronin and is published once annually, in the spring.

On our blog, we hope to share our favorite parts of the literary and arts world and open up a discussion with the literature and arts community around us. Here, you can find recommendations, criticisms, and musings about literature, art, and the artistic community we live in, written by members of the R2 staff.

Although our application deadline has passed and all senior editorial positions are filled, we welcome anyone who wishes to get involved with us at any time of the year.
